I have spent the most of the last decade working as an attorney fighting to preserve affordable housing in Washington DC. In that time I have collaborated with affected community members to organize legal, political and community organizing strategies to push back against inequitable redevelopment projects. My work has been featured in both national and local media outlets and I have been successful in building wide-ranging partnerships to achieve solid victories for my clients amidst the affordable housing crisis that is gripping DC.More recently, I founded The Center for Social Housing and Public Investment, Inc. with the goal of working toward broad policy objectives and systemic solutions to the affordable housing crisis both in the District of Columbia and across the country.
