Provide legal evaluation, guidance, recommended direction, and litigation support to AUSAs and multi-agency litigation teams in qui tam actions involving alleged violations of the False Claims Act, usually in relation to $65B+ of GSA multiple award schedule contracts. Directly evaluate, negotiate, and pursue recovery for disclosures made by federal contractors who come to GSA asserting that they may have overcharged the government. My disclosure evaluation work in my first year in this role identified more than $30M in funds believed owed the federal government, which were previously unknown to either the government, our office, or to the corporate entity. In addition, I routinely provide legal support to OIG law enforcement efforts; oversee, process, and provide legal support for "whistleblower" complaints, and other various issues of which my legal guidance is requested.
