Currently studying a PGCE in Primary at the Manchester Metropolitan University after around 3 years of call centre experience for firstly HSBC and then Co-operative Bank.Previously, I was a Screenwriting student and film/TV enthusiast, having completed MA in Screenwriting at the University of Manchester, achieving a 2:1. In 2015 I graduated with a 2:1 in Italian and World Cinemas from the University of Leeds, then spent just under 3 years at the Department for Work and Pensions where I primarily organised birthday cards from the Queen for customers turning 100 years old, as well as undertaking other duties.

    I managed pension accounts for customers up and down the country, but primarily customers approaching their 100th birthday. This made them eligible for a birthday card from the Queen, so I would get in touch with the customer or a relative, and see if they would like a card from Her Majesty. Often, this would involve making sure the customers is in receipt of the right benefits, as well as making sure we had the customer's details 100% correct - address, contact info etc. Occasionally, we would uncover some cases of fraud as well as dealing with the deaths of customers. This role involved working on specific systems designed for the task, in addition to making phone calls to customers of all ages - the oldest I've ever spoken to was a 108 year old woman.
