This business is in a very tough price competitive industry. I assisted the owner to organize his idea/vision of how he saw the future of retail sales. The owner has successfully partnered with the Shamrock Group.We (the owner, Tom Hanson & myself) identified & developed a strategy to reach the retail segment. realized that a new ‘Economic Resource’ came into being when 'Water Ice' Companies consolidated large contiguous geographic regions in the Water Ice Industry. Their success created an opportunity to profitably market dry ice through their customer base. I performed a number different jobs both white collar and blue collar. I built a website at the domain name atomicdryice.com using MS Front-page 2003. Created an online logo for the company. Networked peer-to-peer the company's 3 computers. Setup Quick Books point of sale with the ability to accept credit cards. I assisted the owner with converting a warehouse space into a retail environment. I answered the customer questions over the phone and in person. Cut dry ice into various sizes customers had ordered. Delivered customer orders around the twin Cities metro area. I picked up the company's bulk dry ice orders from the suppliers.

Took my concept from a product idea to customer sales. Modified the original CD software product into a 100% web-based application with subscription business model.Identified the underlying ‘Economic Resource’ within the Foreign Language Learning Market as information. Which explains why after 20 years no software company has yet developed a competitive advantage to dominate this market. To this day, all software companies have an information deficit that causes the overall price-performance problem with customers. Refer to Rosetta Stone's net profit over the last 4 years and they are considered the market leader.I performed the competitive analysis developed the strategy. I performed ongoing research of competitors and the industry using Federal online databases as well as private companies databases such as Hoover's and Dunn & Bradstreet. I created my company logo and other graphics with Jasc Software ‘Paint Shop Pro 7’ I built my own web site with HTML using MS Front Page 2003. Incorporated SEO and SEM. I Integrated PayPal as payment gateway I sold 29 CD's of my software before I adapted it to an online version.I used Google Analytics and Ad Words. I designed the software and worked with a Visual Basic Programmer to create the CD version. I worked with an AJAX, PHP programmer to adapt the design to an online web-app. I setup my own records management alongside Quick Books. I can easily read Income Statements, Cash Flows, & Balance Sheets and perform any financial ratios.I worked on My software start-up/company while working full-time at the City of Minneapolis.
