CurrentIT Alliance (www.italliance.com) August 2018 – PresentIT service desk for client company AMD/Xilinx (amd.com) October 2019 – PresentXilinx, Inc. was an American technology and semiconductor company that primarily supplied programmable logic devices. Recently acquired by AMD.Worked on shift work for U.S times (Irish times 4pm to midnight) for phone inquiries and I.T related issues.Troubleshooting issues users make have desktop/laptops and software issues, especially for remote working from home during the pandemic period.Work with users to help solve any problems they have in a calm and friendly manner and to put them at ease.Common issues such as late password resets, reconnections to VPNs and driver updates for network, sound and display problems that they may have during work from home meetings.Dealing with security threats, such as confirming the caller is who they say they are through standard security questions and dealing with possible malware and phishing and social engineering attacks.Then also escalated further problems to higher groups while first getting as much details from the caller as possible. Such as escalation of server issues and problems with lab hardware based in U.S sites to the onsite engineers.IT Alliance (www.italliance.com) August 2018 – October 2019Short term desktop support for various IT Alliance client sites.While working for IT Alliance in my first year, I was assigned to various different client sites across Dublin and cities in Ireland, such as Belfast, Cork and Waterford. These clients included Musgrave, Aviva, The Department of Housing. RCSI medical school.Tasks involved hands on desktop and IT support shooting support.Reimaging desktop and laptops.Troubleshooting network and software issues which would involve software and image reinstall and reconfiguration of networks to servers.Talking to users face to face for any ongoing issues and problems that they may occur.
