I also deliver effective in-person training programs utilizing best practices from adult education theory to enhance overall performance.

During my tenure as a Teacher at East Middle School, I researched and designed instructional media to enhance language/cultural understanding for district Heritage Spanish program students. I developed effective training and evaluated materials for conferences and events with other educators within the district. I also established partnerships and communication with students, colleagues, and families to create a supportive learning environment. Furthermore, I leveraged data-driven insights to develop and implement instructional media to ensure student engagement in language courses. In addition to that, I piloted and formalized a middle school Heritage Spanish curriculum to prepare 600 students for advanced course placement. Lastly, I provided professional development to 1500+ students indirectly by training all Heritage Spanish teachers with a pilot curriculum.

As Klass Tutoring's lead Westside tutor, I build one-on-one working relationships with high school students across the area to help them develop their standardized test preparation skills. I work with Klass Tutoring's proprietary ACT and SAT curricula, customizing our comprehensive program as I learn each student's strengths, weaknesses, and communication style. I also provide high school tutoring programs that, with guidance, are entirely designed by my students. Many of them work with me to cultivate better organization habits and remedial Common Core skills. Others are interested in working on the college admissions process, which might entail anything from application strategies to essay composition skills.

West Hollywood

Beauty Collection is a family-owned cosmetics boutique and beauty salon serving several neighborhoods within Los Angeles. Because of its luxury selection and proximity to both Hollywood and Beverly Hills, the West Hollywood location frequently serves A-list celebrities and other discerning clientele. My position was a blend of cosmetics consulting and retail management. I was responsible for record-keeping, maintaining an attractive retail environment, and supervising store operations, but I was also a key player in developing and sustaining the client relationships that allow the brick-and-mortar location to thrive in the age of Amazon. Cultivating the product knowledge that earned me my clients’ trust and remaining flexible in my interpersonal approach were central to my role as well.The most rewarding part of my work at Beauty Collection was sharing the joy I find in glamour and style with my clients. I am grateful for every time that my expertise has enabled us to find the combination of cosmetics that helps a client see themselves as newly beautiful.

Worked with undergraduate students one-on-one to improve the clarity and effectiveness of their professional and academic writing. I mentored people of every background represented in UCLA's diverse student body, including people for whom English is a second language. Also helped to promote the Undergraduate Writing Center through outreach work, primarily by appearing as a guest presenter in writing courses but also by making connections with instructors and other student points of contact.

Performed and provided musical educational support for the National Children's Chorus, which has performed in Royce Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, as well as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. Co-collaborators of the NCC have included the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Master Chorale, American Youth Symphony and New York City Master Chorale, among others.

Recorded audio and filmed with choreography with Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Sam Tsui, and Bruin Harmony A Cappella for musical scenes in episode 11.16 of FOX's Emmy-nominated TV series Bones. In addition to performing and recording, taught and directed Bruin Harmony's musical contributions to the episode and directly assisted recording engineers throughout Bruin Harmony's recording process.
