Special Events And Grounds Entertainment Coordinator
• Assist in Planning and Coordinate all free grounds entertainment for both the Washington State Fair and Washington State Spring Fair. This includes scheduling, booking, contracting of upwards of 100 groups per year.• Manage all artist and attraction needs as needed, including back line, hotels, hospitality, security, decor and transportation. Act as on site liaison and Production Manager. • Create working Budget documents and monitor budget for Spring and Washington State Fair accounts including balancing accounts and maintaining budget reports.• Contract, Plan and Coordinate logistics for special attractions and features at the Spring Fair; including presenting entertainment plan to the Fair board for approval. Contracting and coordinating the Monster Truck show, the Demolition Derbies, and fireworks for main grandstand line-up during the Spring Fair.• Manage sound needs and staff for all 4 grounds stages, and upwards or 15 arenas and exhibits on the grounds for both Spring and State Fair. • Organize all special attractions and stage staff from job posting to hiring, completing all paperwork, training and scheduling of staff and attractions supervisor. Manage anywhere from 20 to 50 employees during fair time for up to 6 different attractions or exhibits. • Develop special events and free entertainment attractions during Fair time from concept to completion. Past examples are Super Hero Photo Op meet and Greet, and Timber Gulch Western Town with full size Stump House replica.• Facilitate online schedules for entertainments, departments and special events; maintaining detailed descriptions, schedules and supporting uses of the web-based schedule.• Work as a member of the Promotions team responsible for strategic planning and implementation of special marketing and promotional projects as assigned.
