CMC:Berkshires is a residential substance use treatment center in the Berkshire Mountains. We are located on 200 beautiful acres, with a 100 year old stone manor house serving as the residence for 13 clients living in single occupancy bedrooms with en-suite baths. We are two and a half hours from New York City and Boston. CMC:Berkshires expands on the evidence-based approach to substance abuse developed by our outpatient facility, The Center for Motivation and Change: a focus on the development of a life that sustains positive change. In this beautiful Berkshires setting, we provide clients with ongoing exposure to and practice in life-enhancing activities beyond the core treatment, including exercise, yoga and meditation with certified and expert practitioners in our state of the art wellness facility, outdoor experiences (with certified adventure-based coaches), nutritional and food preparation consultation, and pleasurable activities such as bodywork and community cultural activities (of which there is no lack in the Berkshires!).We are driven by a combination of optimism about the capacity to change and a commitment to the science of change.
