My passion and in-depth knowledge of sport influence me to undertake a degree in Sports Journalism degree at the University of Central Lancashire, of which I proudly graduated from with a 2:1.During my three years on the course I have built up a variety of skills and gained valuable experience in the field of journalism, mainly due to my year's placement at Accrington Stanley as well as my contributions to other websites.My time as a volunteer at Accrington Stanley has included interviewing players and managers and writing match reports in order to produce content for the website and the match day programme. I have also had work published by Nantwich Town FC, Anchorfan, It's Round and It's White and fill your boots. During my time at university I have gained many skills which help me in the field of Journalism. These include producing running and considered match reports, writing features, interviewing important sporting figures, using QuarkXPress and teeline shorthand (NCTJ accredited at 100 words a minute).Over the last three years I have demonstrated my ability to work as a team member and as a hardworking and committed individual. I ensure that my work is always the best quality that it can produce and that it is completed by the deadline set.
