As a senior software engineer at the Idaho State Department of Agriculture I was responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of mid to large scale applications.

My first task at NoPileups was porting the existing .Net MVC staff portal to React/Redux. I had extensive experience working with MVC, but React/Redux was completely new to me. After a couple months the port was finished and I had acquired substantial knowledge of the React framework.I continued supporting the staff portal while planning, designing and implementing new features, including a brand new customer portal. I eventually assumed full responsibility for the entire project, working in collaboration with company executives and determining strategies to meet and exceed company goals.

As a mid-level developer for Covr I took responsibility for individual tasks and small projects. I created a number of helpers and tools to increase development efficiency and collaborated on overall design and direction.

As a software engineer for Netacent inc, I focused on further improving my knowledge C# development and SQL stored procedures. I also worked to master Javascript and web design.I worked in collaboration with a small team to improve the Idaho Department of Lands online Burn Permit application. This furthered my skills in debugging and troubleshooting pre-written code and gave me exposure to and experience in asp.net and windows forms.I implemented an online licencing application for the Idaho Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and had the opportunity to meet with clients regularly, set expectations, gather requirements and contribute to overall design and direction.

During my time as an associate development analyst I had the wonderful opportunity to work with and learn from some of the greatest developers I have ever met. I picked up several web design skills including HTML, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS and was regularly exposed to C# and SQL. I learned the data structure and hierarchy of the company's software architecture and contributed to the design of new client and staff portals for the Department of Labor.
