• Enhance current report systems and ETL to cater for multiple warehouses in different countries (AU, CA). Had to update change all SQL, SSIS, Power BI and SSRS reports to cater for this change, as the company had for decades only had the one, and a lot of code assumptions was made upon that.• Realign two code basis which was forked years ago to implement a smaller version of the main system. Over the years the code base drifted, and my task was to get them back as one, where one code base was used to deploy both systems.• Improve deployment, build process by optimizing the build YML files to reduce time building, as well as only building sections that changed on every Pull Request.• Migrate SQL Server Database (Datawarehouse) to a Hyperscale SQL Server Database. Here I used Azure Data Factory (ADF) to copy over data. It could handle incremental and full loads. This migration required minimal down time. We did a lot of tests and had to make quite a few enhancements to existing SQL to work performantly on new database. I also had to make sure, that all CI/CD still worked with the change of a few parameters. This involved some change to YML pipelines as well as Octopus Deployments with quite a bit of PowerShell changes and enhancements. • Migrate existing SSIS processes to ADF. I did this with no down time, and very few issues. I created some reusable ADF pipelines, which helped converting the SSIS processes into a smaller set of more manageable ADF processes.• Created an extraction process for Michael Hills planning systems using ADF, which eventually exports it data to files which is shipped to an Amazon eco system• Created and ADF/PowerShell/Runbook/Webhook process to update the Tabular Cube on an incremental basis or full when required. It also created the partitions needed as per config in a control table. This process was enlisted to make the processing faster, so we did not need to process the whole cube every day.

• A switch over was done from custom inhouse system to Microsoft D365. All existing feeds had to be switched over by either retrofitting the new feed into the existing structures or creating new structures and changing the existing reports.• Design, develop and alter existing SSIS ETL processes into the Data Warehouse. • Create new SSIS ETL processes where new data feeds became available.• SSRS Report had to changed to any structure / logical changes made due to the migration to D365• MS Power BI reports also had to be changed, or new ones written for all the new feeds. • The integration method to D365 was through their BYOD. Here I also applied some of my programming skills to enhance and change the process using C# Azure Functions to copy the data from their BYOD structure to the ODS system.• Changed and fixed the SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Service) Multi-Dimensional Cube where it was affected by the migration.
