• Managed day-to-day responsibilities for several double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trials assessing the safety and efficacy of therapies for food allergy desensitization, hereditary angioedema, and atopic.
• Duties for these trials included subject recruitment and enrollment, consenting, compliance monitoring, IRB document preparation and correspondence, data entry and management, and interfacing between corporate sponsors.

Kumasi, Ghana

• Designed a project comparing conventional culture methods versus molecular detection methods (PCR) for five bacterial pathogens among three-hundred blood samples
• Inoculation and maintenance of cultures for a bovine tuberculosis project, as well as DNA extraction and PCR for cultured samples with growth
• Detection of mycobacterium via microscopy for the tuberculosis project
• PCR optimization for both the bacterial detection and tuberculosis projects

• Completed a project impact case study of 100 AIDS patients in order to determine the effectiveness of the “Antiretroviral Treatment Agricultural Support Project” and identify any subsequent effect on adherence to drug.
• Shadowed doctors and nurses as they provided treatment to patients in rural areas of several Ugandan districts and at Kitovu’s headquarters in Masaka
