I was then invited to buy into the business with the opening of a new store which I managed on top of my current role further increasing my work in service contacts, customer employment, basic accounting through Xero and MYOB and employee training and management.

My roles at Penrice Soda Holdings ranged from the procurement of day to day purchases required for the facility, to the procurement management of services such as waste and plant and equipment leasing and many other service agreements. The role opened my eyes to the importance of the back end of business and the importance of sharpening up every aspect of a business. Due to the closure of the business my employment was short but working in such a role during a tough time enabled me to learn quickly the importance of the role and the best practice for procurement from some really encouraging and helpful managers in the department.
