Latin America Regional Specialist Of Sales
Renton, Wa
In this position I answered incoming email and phone calls from retail partners, generally to discuss marketing strategy. Recommendations often involved maximizing resources offered from Wizards, education of retail best practices, and evolving their plans in response to their customer activity. In order to initiate direct contact between Wizards and the account base, in this role I would travel in-market to make direct observations of the commercial climate in key economic centers and to further consult with accessible managers and owners. Visits would include giving presentations at industry gatherings, and many visits to retail locations. In addition to incoming work, I would commit to ambitious timelines for call campaigns designed to proactively improve customer experience. In my time at Wizards, I have done well over 100 of these large scale projects in a dependable manner.I was responsible for vetting applications from hobby store owners to join our retailer network, which would involve photos and government paperwork. With an outline of what executives wanted their stores to be, my judgement was trusted to be sound in this very ambiguous task on which Wizards' brand and market health depended.I gathered evidence of retailer wrongdoing for submission to Investigations, and was responsible for the communication of news to the owner if applicable.16 months after I opened the territory, the market grew sufficiently to justify the hire of an additional team member. My recommendation, Melissa Meza, was hired and performed superbly. After initial workshops I was responsible for her mentoring and on-the-job training as our manager had many other duties besides our team in a matrix management organization.
