I spent slightly over a year living in Japan to familiarize myself with the language and culture of Japan. During my time there I worked as an elementary school teacher and coached baseball five days a week at the middle school level.

During my undergraduate education, I worked in the Thayer School of Engineering Machine Shop. I assisted students and professors alike in transforming their computer models into functioning prototypes and projects. Skills included laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, basic lathing and milling, gas welding, and basic TIG welding.

I was sent on week-long deployments across Florida to perform archaeological work in preparation for various infrastructure projects and developments. My work included performing shovel tests to identify artifacts of cultural significance.
