Responsibilities: as a site manager I was responsible for the installation of two modular school projects in Manchester. I managed the day to day site activities and monitored health & safety. I liaised with the clients regularly ensuring labour and materials were on-site and successfully handed both projects over on time to the end user.

Leominster, Herefordshire

Responsibilities: Performing inductions, tool box talks and managing health and safety. Weekly meetings with the client to discuss the programme and health and safety. Liaising daily with the principal contractor ensuring compliance with health and safety and current CDM requirements. Performing twice weekly safety audits and monitoring quality.

Responsibilities: Prepare site specific risk assessments, method statements and COSHH risk assessments. Liaise with the client on a day to day basis and arrange regular meetings to discuss progress and advise on practical handover. Organise transport, crane and labour for the installation/demobilisation stage of the project. Supervise the installation/demobilisation as a full appointed person. Liaise with the relevant depot to ensure the product will be delivered as per the works programme. Ensuring materials and equipment are available to all trades to prevent any delays in the project. Ensure the project is delivered on time and in budget. Raise purchase orders and regularly contact suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure materials and labour are on-site when needed to prevent any delays in the project. Ensure that health and safety is monitored and all relevant risk assessments and method statements are updated, communicated and understood by all concerned within the project. Ensure product quality and contractor workmanship is monitored.

Obtain quotes from sub-contractors, crane and transport companies and discuss and arrange with the project co-ordinator. Supervise the installation/demobilisation as a full appointed person. Responsibilities: As an appointed person I was given the opportunity to supervise all the installation and demobilisation projects I was involved in, which included supervising the day to day on-site activities and occasionally preparing scaled lift plans. I also performed all relevant joinery works which included the fitment of internal and external doors, studwork partitioning and making and installing timber steps and ramps. I would also liaise with the client to discuss snagging and handover.
