Fire Officer and Leader. Strong advocate for safety and prevention of line of duty deaths. Instructor of firefighting related skills and contributing author. Passionate about creating a better fire service and delivering the mission of the Derry Fire Department In addition to my role as a Fire Officer, I serve as the Derry Fire Department's Lead Coordinator for New Employee On-Boarding and Chairman of the Health and Safety Committee. I have been a firefighter since 2012 and have served on two career fire departments. I currently hold an Associates degree in Fire Science from Lakes Region Community College and have been working towards my B.S. in Public Service Management with a minor in Human Resources at Granite State College. In my professional career I have become an Everyone Goes Home Advocate with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation nominated me as a “Future Leader” in 2017 where they sent me to multiple national conferences and symposiums to participate in round table discussions.I have a passion for teaching firefighting related skills and have developed multiple training programs.I have developed a strong skill set in technical writing and have written multiple standard operating procedures.In 2020 I published my first article in FireRescue magazine and was featured on Fire Engineering Magazine’s podcast. In 2021 I wrote a peer reviewed featured article published in the October edition of Fire Engineering magazine. I volunteer my time to my union local where I serve as a steward. While serving as a steward I have been a member of labor contract negotiations.I am currently on a building committee that is overseeing the development of a 21 million dollar fire station project. In my personal life, I have been married since 2018 to my wife Taylor and father to my son Duke since May of 2021.I enjoy boating, fly fishing, martial arts and spending lots of time with my family.It is my mission to make the fire service a better and safer place through developing strong effective teams within the organization.
