Responsible for Contacts treasury risk management policy, group cash position and debt funding strategy.Recent activity includes: Introduction of a Sustainable Finance Framework, an award winning $225m green hybrid bond issuance and the establishment of a $850m syndicated SLL.

As Assistant Treasurer I executed Contacts FX risk management strategy, managed the daily cash position and provided cash flow forecasting analysis to the business. I also gained valuable experience of sustainable finance by maintaining Contacts Green Borrowing Program, completing a Climate Bonds Intuitive (CBI) training course and leading the execution of a sustainability-linked loan.

Part of the group accounting function responsible for external reporting, technical and treasury accounting, financial analysis and treasury back office.I supported the issuances of a NZD$500m retail bond and a EUR300m EMTN, and in addition I was responsible for the accounting of the bonds and the associated interest rate swaps and cross currency swaps.

In 2009 I joined SSY, the world’s largest independent shipping brokerage and while working pursued the ACCA and AMCT qualifications. Responsibilities included the preparation of consolidated management accounts for over 70 multi-currency entities, group cash flow forecasting and collaboration with Deloitte on the completion of annual corporation and partnership tax returns.I also held responsibility for foreign exchange risk analysis, providing reporting for the treasury committee to inform FX hedging strategy, and relationship management with banks in relation to the provision of credit facilities and forex requirements.

I operated within the BT Business division designing and implementing networking and communication solutions.

At HBOS I operated within the Clerical Medical brand maintaining complex actuarial models and providing analysis for use in actuarial valuation reports within the finance and marketing functions.

In this role I specialised in the calculation of high value quotations for corporate level group life insurance policies. The role involved statistical analysis of claims history and risk profiling.
