I have been in the banking and or mortgage industry since 2006. I have also received the pleasure of being a military officer in the Army Reserves, where I had a total of 14 years until I received a medical discharge while being mobilized back in 2011. Both these experiences have allowed me to set up a mortgage company in 2013, which started as a one-person mortgage broker shop. I then added a few colleagues after a year of making sure I had all the resources to allow another person to be successful.That time frame was around 2014, when I spent the next two years training the additional loan officers on all they needed to know to be great mortgage originators and brokers. This time spent required hours each day. Usually from 4 AM to 10/11 PM since I continue to produce myself while training extensively to learn all the ropes. Both became successful at times averaging 30/35 million a year.I then decided to take that same time around 2016 to explain the company to a direct consumer department which required just as many hours but more on just originating since I had seven originators I was training with no experience.This time frame made me realize that I needed to create efficient processing and grow other leaders in the company, so I began developing a more substantial business model that pushed others to grow in their roles. They grew into a leadership and efficient operations team that allowed other leaders to have multiple roles they did not have to train others. This leadership team opened up the door of the Correspondent Channel in 2016, which we took three years to develop to create an assembly line approach allowing loan originators to be just that.Our company now is around 40 Team Members and growing, and we have plans to expand to over 500 in the next five years. We have the technology and culture to do just that. I know this as I am a lead-from-the-front personality and make sure to experience what our team goes through to make sure we get better as loan originators and a team.We strive to be at 250 Million in Volume by the end of 2024 and 500 Million by 2026.
