Director Of Risk & Resilience
Reporting to the CFO, the role is responsible for helping the Executive identify the Group’s key risks; review and challenge the adequacy of response; actively support the management of risk, including risk transfer through insurance; and improve the Group’s resilience to disruptive events. Functional leadership• Approves the Group’s Risk Management, Business Continuity and Insurance strategies, policies and plans of work• Line manages and supports the 3 sub-function heads in delivery, providing regular updates to the CFO and Board + management of 5 other indirect reports and 2 dotted line reports• Owns the budget for Risk & Resilience, including Group expenditure on InsuranceRisk Management• Provides insight and scrutiny on the key risks to the Group• Partners with and provides challenge to the Executive on the adequacy of their response to key Group Risks and the assurance thereof• Co-ordinates specific response for certain risks (special projects)• Reports to and facilitates the Executive Risk Committee; and reports to the BoardBusiness Continuity (BC)• Oversees the delivery of the Group's BC Programme, including: the creation of new BC Plans, review and testing of existing plans; evolving the future scope of and upskilling colleagues on BC; and provision of subject matter expertise to effectively govern Crisis ManagementInsurance• Determines the overall Insurance Programme and final renewal outcomes for approval by the CFO• Owns Dyson’s overall relationship with Insurance Brokers and direct relationships with insurers (including captive)
