In 2021 Will became a partner at Cozzi Consulting. The goal at Cozzi Consulting is to design the next generation of data pipelines in the Media and Entertainment industry, redefining the way collaboration works in the post production and visual effects world. Will Weprin is an IATSE LOCAL 600 cinematographer and director with experience on big and small features as well as high profile commercials and short films. Will is a big cinephile and lover of the art and craft of filmmaking and films from all over the world including films by Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni, Wim Wenders and Terrence Malick.In his work, he draws strong inspiration from master filmmaker Stanley Kubrick for his epic style and perfection on a grand scale; Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai for his romantic visual style; and American auteur Francis Coppola for his strong, character driven storytelling.Color grading has always attracted me because it is more than a skill; it's an art. To me color grading is not about making the image even or crushing the blacks; it is about creating a definitive look and giving the piece character. I love seeing the look of amazement on a client’s face when I show them the before and after of their work.I first make sure the image is well balanced and then work with a client to really design a quality look that matches the theme and mood of the film. I then make a second pass of the film to make sure that the entire film has a consistent look that I’m after. I graduated from the Berkeley Digital Film Institute where I studied cinematography and directing. I am a good humored and hard working individual and always aspire to create high quality work.
