I am a serving Police officer with Hampshire Constabulary. I have twenty five years Policing experience within Hampshire constabulary and the Metropolitan Police force. The vast majority of my service has been within the CID of both forces. I have been a sergeant for nine years of my service and have always worked at the front end of investigations.I have played an active role in drug investigations within the city of Southampton and also have spent time investigating on line child abuse under the banner of Operation Ore. I have wide experience and specialism in investigative interviewing of persons in custody and have been a tactical interview manager for a number of years which is a national accreditation.I am also a police hostage negotiator and a member of the constabulary’s hostage negotiator cadre within Hampshire. I have responsibility of a regular call out requirement and have negotiated with a number of people in crisis situations and brought them to a safe conclusion. I also have other skills within this role that can be used in different roles and responsibilities within the Police service.I am currently based within the custody investigation team at Southampton central Police station and utilise my interview skills and look to engage with those in custody to clear there criminal slate through admission .
