Marine KC-130J Aircraft Commander and Basic Instructor Pilot:-Responsible for the successful planning and execution of military flight operations.-Liaise with civilian, joint-US, and foreign military entities to accomplish assigned missions.-Responsible for the professional completion of the assigned mission, safety of the flight, aircraft security, crew welfare (to include messing, quarters, and transportation) and crew behavior/appearance during duty and off duty hours.-Instruct copilots and aircrew in the core skill training and readiness missions of the KC-130J.

Execute collateral duties in accordance with MCO P5750.1 "Manual for the Marine Corps Historical Programs." Duties include but are not limited to:1. Prepare and submit the semi-annual Command Chronology report to the applicable Marine Aircraft Group Commanding Officer and Marine Historical Society and Heritage Foundation.2. Maintain an accurate record of all battle streamers for the Commands colors (Guidon).3. Maintain a historical chronology of previous squadron Commanding Officers and key personnel.4. Maintain a file of all available significant news print media concerning the squadron (magazines, local newspapers, etc). (Archivist)5.
