Project Nova has been set up as a program of projects and major workstreams which will take 2 years to complete. The project will upgrade and merge the core system from two regionally divided systems to a single national system. The project will transition the existing medical consumables inventory at the on campus sites for both DHBs to Oracle R12 inventory.The project will also set up consumables inventory at the new Elective Surgery Centre (ESC) at North Shore Hospital to run in Oracle R12 inventoryThe project was expected to complete by June 2014 but has been extended to ensure completion of all theatres at Counties DHB.
