This is by far the most creative and fun job I have ever had. I have gained great experience in this role as each episode needs editing to length whilst keeping the story clear and resolving all strands by the end of the episode. I also need to keep as many jokes as possible and edit for maximum comedic effect. This has really honed my editorial instincts - I am skilled at making good, fast, editorial decisions. This series is a fast-paced production, I generally have about 10 episodes in production at any one time and I have about a week to work on each episode, from animatic assembly through to online delivery. The role involves editing animatics and animation; collaborating with and incorporating feedback from the director, producers and storyboard artists; providing feedback on sound design and animation; generally overseeing the edit department and ensuring edits are delivered on time to sound, grade and online. Seasons 2 and 3 have been very well received, ratings are high, and its success has led to the series being sold to several new territories. Show less
