Analyzed and helped to sort audio recordings and transcripts of linguistic elicitation exercises involving minority/endangered arctic languages (Even, West Greenlandic/Kalaallisut) and Russian using the software ELAN. Involved very frequent e-mail communication between myself and associated researcher/field worker who was actively collecting the data I was using, as well as weekly virtual meetings. Designed annotation methods. Worked on average at least 4 hours a day on complex research tasks. Demanded a skillset consisting of:- Knowledge of the grammars of said languages- Matching up transcripts with audio recordings of speech & audio visualization- Advanced knowledge of formal linguistic, grammatical, and orthographic conventions- ELAN (Electronic Linguistic ANnotation) software- High degree of adaptability- Independent planning and self-motivation in the absence of strict work schedule

Collected scientific (sociolinguistic and climatological) research on how climate change and wind currents relate to language use in Greenland. Proposed questions to be asked by my associated researcher/professor during field work in Greenland. Also assisted with writing/gathering information for a multi-year research grant pertaining to Arctic Social Sciences involving future travel to Greenland for sociolinguistic research.
