Hey y'all! My name is Willa Jones, and I am a current sophomore at the University of South Carolina. I am studying Marketing and Management through the Darla Moore School of Business. I am also proud to say that I am a student of the University of South Carolina Honors College, the #1 Public Honors College in the nation.I am involved in the University of South Carolina branch of Student-Made through my role as a creator. Student-Made is a club that fosters entrepreneurship among young, open-minded, future professionals, and I feel as though my involvement is contributing greatly to my future. Student-Made holds workshops and pop-ups so that its members can practice the ins and outs of business through a hands-on approach. I am learning how to market myself, my business, and my products, as well as how to manage my businesses finances. The Faber Center at the Darla Moore School of Business facilitates Student-Made and enables me to connect with a group of like-minded peers who I am continuing to learn from every day.I own a jewelry business called Willa Wear, and I sell my products through the Student-Made website. Being from Charleston, South Carolina, I have a strong connection to my Lowcountry roots. Given this, I reflect my love for the coastal charm of my beloved hometown through my creations. I utilize shells and shark's teeth that I find at home to create accessories that feel like treasures. Being able to bring some of home back to Columbia with me not only makes being away from home easier, but it feels as though I can share my love for Charleston with everyone that I share my creations with. Willa Wear is an important step towards future, as I hope to one day make a career out of small business ownership.Aside from school and my business, I enjoy spending time with family, volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, thrift shopping, and being creative. I would love to get to know more about new people and different career paths, so please feel free to send me a connection request. I look forward to hearing from you!
