•Responsible for the loading, formulary maintenance, end user activation and support for 110 Pyxis medication delivery systems throughout the UVA Health System•Built the medication lists and supported installation of 4 new Pyxis medication stations in Hope Cancer Treatment Infusion Centers•Wrote and delivered a computer based training module for the Pharmacy staff on how to troubleshoot and fix common problems with Pyxis machines•Designed and delivered a pilot program to nurses in Interventional Radiology to improve patient safety in procedural areas and inpatient units based on uniquely identifying patients in the Pyxis database during the medication removal process•Analyzed the Pyxis formulary for opportunities to eliminate product redundancies•Received training in various areas of hospital pharmacy operations: Epic Willow Inpatient Module, Inpatient Central Pharmacy, IV Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy, Quality and Patient Safety, Infusion Pharmacy and Investigational Drugs•Provided support for the roll out of Nurse Link, a new Care Fusion web-based technology that interfaces with Pyxis and allows nurses to queue Pyxis tasks remotely

•KP HealthConnect (EpicCare Ambulatory) drug database management and optimization- activating, deleting or hiding medication records in the ERX drug database to facilitate order entry in the electronic medical record, encourage use of formulary products, and support drug utilization initiatives•EpicCare Ambulatory medication orders interface error management (Epic Bridges Interface)- HL7 message deciphering and error resolution to ensure that medication orders cross the interface and post in the MCPS pharmacy system•EpicCare Ambulatory/ MCPS Allergy interface error management•EpicCare Ambulatory Regression testing- updated and validated EpicCare Ambulatory Order entry regression tests and Medications Activity regression tests to prepare for and troubleshoot for new software installation and the Epic version 2010 upgrade•Collaborated with Systems Integration Team on ERX database projects- facilitating the use of new system functionality, i.e. Pyxis, Beacon/ Willow Pharmacy Chemotherapy Applications, etc.•Built PHR records for Epic Willow application and outpatient pharmacies- linked Willow pharmacy locations to Oncology departments and medication lists, configured the dispense/action codes, label routing, reports, linked med lists and home centers, set supported delivery system types, and supported medication types•Support Request Coordinator (Remedy) •Collaborated with Regional Trainers and Pharmacy Operations Managers to rollout new workflows and system functionality to Pharmacy Staff•Documented EpicCare Ambulatory ERX database changes and system requests•Built new configurations in response to Change Requests in Epic to fix problems and enhance provider experiences in Order entry•Coordinated with the Warehouse Analyst to synchronize the active medications and their formulary status in ERX and the Pharmacy central product database•Prepared and validated load files in two systems for formulary status, Medicare Part D coverage, and NDC identity mapping
