It's an industry that is a mystery to most people, and tightly controlled by regulations. I originally started consulting for Brownie Points as UX and UI designer. As the company grew from startup to established organisation, I became more involved with overall business strategy and product management.In addition to the unique UX opportunities and challenges of the social and non-profit sector, I've also had the opportunity to act as digital product manager on two groundbreaking tech projects with The Shoprite Group's CSR team. I was able to be involved in all parts of the development process, right from client discussions, to UX planning and brainstorming sessions, to design and development, testing, and release.Currently, I work as head of UX and design. I also co-manage the tech team by helping with roadmaps, backlog grooming and sprint planning. I've also been responsible for side missions like managing a rebranding project and hiring new team members.Brownie Points is a true innovator in its field.
