Willa Seldon is a partner at the Bridgespan Group, an experienced board member and leadership coach. Willa collaborates with nonprofit, social enterprise and philanthropy leaders to refine their strategies and improve their operating and economic model. She is a leader in Bridgespan's work in economic security and opportunity and place-based work focused on improving community outcomes, so that all can thrive. Willa is a board member of the College Futures Foundation, Pew Charitable Trusts and Sutter Health. She is a former member of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's Economic Advisory Council, former Governance Committee Chair and Board Secretary of Jobs For the Future, former vice-chair of the Board of Trustees of Bryn Mawr College and former chair of KQED. Willa served as the CEO of the Glide Foundation, a nonprofit focused on serving people who face poverty and marginalization. Prior to Glide, Willa was the executive director of the Tides Center, a nonprofit engaged in providing infrastructure services to nonprofit groups. Willa’s for-profit experience includes Milepost Ventures, a venture capital firm she co-founded and senior executive experience at AirTouch Communications, a multi-billion dollar wireless communications company. Willa has authored numerous articles and has been named multiple times as one of the Most Influential Women in Business by the San Francisco Business Times. She has an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, a JD from Yale Law School, and an AB in Economics from Bryn Mawr College. She is a certified Co-Active Coach.
