I'm a versatile engineer with strong programming, writing, and design skills. I’m an excellent communicator and collaborator, and a comfortable public speaker. I'm highly organized and believe that proactive documentation is vital to efficient project development. I’m quick to adapt to new tools and languages and thrive in a dynamic work environment. My programming experience includes Python, HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, MATLAB, Java, and Elixir. I have experience using CI/CD deployment pipelines and creating Docker images and containers to run software applications. I’m fascinated by software engineering, web development, and mobile computing, and am always on the lookout for opportunities to tackle an unfamiliar problem. While I now work primarily with data & code, my original background is in mechanical design. I’m proficient in 3D CAD in SolidWorks including working with sheet metal, design tables, complex assemblies and engineering drawings. I’ve used SolidWorks for over decade in multiple settings and jobs; it’ll always be a favorite tool of mine. In my final semester at the University of Texas in Fall 2020 I developed experience with FEA in both SolidWorks and Ansys in my capstone senior design project: conducting design optimization studies on flexure-based nanopositioners for a micro-SLS additive manufacturing project for the fabrication of microelectronic parts. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, playing soccer, reading, dancing, and traveling. I’m passionate about sustainability and elegant design. I currently work at Seagate Technology developing a data delivery API and building software infrastructure for other data scientists at the company.
