• Lead solar, wind, and energy storage project development across the US working with customer types including municipal electric utilities, local electric cooperatives, and commercial/industrial businesses. Duties include obtaining use/zoning permits from municipal governing bodies, project technical design, financial modeling, land due diligence, land lease negotiation, power purchase contract negotiation, construction start, more.• Responsible for evaluating energy public policy schemes at the municipal, state, and federal levels (both regulatory and legislative).• Help lead the company’s market-entry efforts requiring in-depth understanding of market and regulatory trends, technology advances, contractual limitations, and all legal barriers to clean energy expansion. Intimate understanding of the dynamics which allow for the success or failure of a project. • Project manager from start-to-finish on the company’s first utility scale solar and first community solar projects, completed in December 2020.o Navigated a complex Illinois community solar program, reaching successful submission of seven project sites, one of which was selected via state lottery for incentives.• Promoted after 1.5 years at company.

• Led due diligence efforts during land acquisition involving land planning, zoning code research, title review, construction cost estimating, budget creation, pro forma analysis, meetings with municipal staff, sellers, and project neighbors, and managing consultants from a variety of disciplines including legal, environmental, geotechnical, survey, civil engineering, more. • Responsible for preliminary plat/subdivision, engineering design (grading, roads, utilities, etc.), and final plat approvals. Managed successful public hearings at city councils and county boards.• Delivered 440 residential lots and condo units across eight urban infill and suburban projects.

Efforts led to the passage of Arizona's most aggressive municipal renewable energy goal (Tempe, AZ, 2014) and expedited coal plant closures in the Southwest. Work focused on grassroots organizing and coalition-building.

• Managed the collection of 13k ballot-qualification signatures, 2,500 clean elections donations, a ~$200k campaign budget, and 2 campaign staff along with multiple consultants.• Previously served as an intern in Commissioner Newman’s office, summarizing energy regulatory dockets and conducting policy research.

Lobbied elected officials and staff at the municipal level to create renewable energy market mechanisms allowing expansion of “distributed energy resources” such as community scale solar. Assisted in the creation of Palo Alto, CA’s “Feed in Tariff” program.

Conducted policy research for the Congressman and his staff.
