I manage a growing team of data protection consultants providing real time data protection and compliance advice to over 1,400 schools, and increasing, across England and Wales. In three years I have helped helm the department from 30 clients and three consultants to a team of 17 and almost one and an half thousand clients.I deal with reportable data breaches to the ICO; Data Protection Impact Assessments; Data Audits; Data Protection Training to groups from five to 200 people; Data Mapping; Data Retention; Data Requests - both Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests; as well as any and all queries, legal and compliance matters relating to the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.Previously I worked in immigration, human rights and complex litigation: all PBS, plus dependants, family/spousal/fiancé/e applications, appeals, Judicial Review, SMS certified user, CoS, RCoS, CAS, etc, visitor - medical or otherwise, sports, entertainment etc. Prior to that I worked as a litigation lawyer for the Treasury Solicitor, now the Government Legal Department.I have extensive experience of working closely with junior and senior Counsel, including on reported, criminal and public law cases, interlocutory appeals, the Hillsborough Inquest, document review work, drafting, advice, asylum and some extradition work.
