• Agency head and principal public employee of the office which oversees Manhattan’s Community District 8, consisting of the Upper East Side, Lenox Hill, Yorkville, and Roosevelt Island. • Manage a professional staff of public servants dedicated to the district and to working with the 50 board members to take on the issues facing the neighborhood. Pitch stories for local coverage, write and edit copy for press releases, newsletters, and other communications materials.• Preside over a bimonthly district service cabinet of New York City agencies, elected officials’ offices, public utilities, and neighborhood stakeholders to diagnose problems and work towards comprehensive inter-agency solutions.• Oversee efforts to modernize the agency through technology upgrades, including the digitization of old records and the transition of public hearings from paper packets to use of electronic tablets, which resulted in an office that was ready for the pandemic and remote work.• Manage the agency’s pandemic response, moving public hearings to Zoom in a fair, equitable and organized format, compiling and sending regular eblasts to constituents throughout the pandemic, and assisted other Community Boards in their agencies’ transitions to remote work and virtual public meetings in partnership with Beta NYC. Successfully shifted to hybrid hearings as pandemic restrictions eased.
