William Cavada is a multimedia artist who leverages his expertise to empower students and adults with digital tools and media technology. His work bridges the gap between creative expression and technical know-how. With over 20 years of teaching youth and adults, media production, instructional design, and design thinking, I bring an innovative and student center base approach to teaching, production, and multimedia projects. His students have won film awards worldwide, from New York, Los Angeles, and Bay Aera. His films have been screened at the United Nations to local film festivals, mostly recently at Brave Maker.Cavada's primary focus is on education. He holds positions as an adjunct professor at Foothill College and helps run the MakeSpace program. There, he instructs educators and community members on design thinking, prototyping, and utilizing computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) tools within the Makerspace environment. He also heads the CTE Multimedia Film Pathway at Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose, California. This program equips students with the skills to craft their own stories using digital media tools. His dedication has demonstrably paid off, with his students having garnered film awards at the United Nations and local film festivals.Cavada's educational background is equally impressive. He holds a master's degree from San Jose State University and graduated from San Francisco State University. He further bolstered his qualifications with a year-long fellowship at Yale University.
