Personability and accountability. My name is William (Will) DeCamp and I am a first-year student at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University – Bloomington. I am currently pursuing a degree in Finance and a co-major in Professional Sales. I am an active member of the JLLC and engage in regular volunteer work at Habitat for Humanity Restore in Monroe County. My experience as a high school intern on a financial team comprised of full-time employees helped me develop my communication, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Growing up in the DC area gave me insights into many different career opportunities, but business really gained my interest as I transitioned into high school so I set my sights on top-ranked finance programs for my undergraduate degree. I am passionate about working hard to complete any and all tasks put in front of me while I also tend to focus my spare time on developing genuine connections with the people around me to foster mutually beneficial partnerships. I am strongly grounded by my work ethic, family values, and creating an environment where I and the people that I partner with are able to succeed. I thrive in situations where my problem-solving skills are tested and where everyone feels free to voice their opinions. My personal values, skills, and interests around accountability, work ethic, teamwork, and integrity can work well with organizations that are looking for individuals who can complete work on time and at a high level regardless of the nature of the task or the group assigned to it. My short-term goals are to graduate from Indiana University with honors and use internships and campus involvement opportunities to broaden my exposure to different groups, goals, individuals, and disciplines. My long-term goal after college is to find a career that allows me to balance between my family obligations and my professional responsibilities. I also hope to find an organization that values employee development and retention.
