About Will Hurst

When my wife and I got pregnant just a year into marriage, our mantra became "more fun with more people," so I strive to live life in abundance, because that's what I'm promised! I take passion in making and achieving goals, connecting with others, and having a deep admiration for my community.I have some operational Air Force experience as a remote pilot student before my oldest daughter had a surprise cardiac arrest and global brain injury. After spending 100 days at the best pediatric cardiology hospital in the country and two additional months receiving hyperbaric oxygen treatment, I was blessed to cross train into acquisitions where I currently manage C-130H modifications. The Air Force is my job, but right now my family is my calling. Our world was wrecked when my daughter got sick. She went from walking at 11 mo and saying ten words at 14 mo, to doing less than a baby at birth. Overnight we had a perfect child to one that had a disintegrating aortic valve. To this day we still don't know why that happened. Her heart surgeon, the best in the country, said he's never seen anything like it. She's seen too many specialists to count, and they've all given up and passed her off to "research." Just what a parent wants to hear. So, our lives are centered around finding the next best treatment, therapy, supplement, diet, and anything else to help progress my daughter. We are her doctors. We are her advocates. We are her biggest fans. We are still driven to have more fun with more people, no matter how many ways we have to adapt and evolve it with our special family.I love anything with the great outdoors (but biased towards backpacking), chips and salsa, and Auburn football. Most of my time is spent loving my beautiful wife and two daughters, but sometimes I dabble with the harmonica.Let's connect! I'd love to chat about life, and how to get through even the most difficult of times.
