- Investigated the effects of pH, protein composition, and hydration on the biomaterial properties of biomimetic airway mucus - Performed particle tracking and dynamic light scattering microrheology to determine mechanical moduli of biomimetic airway mucus samples- Performed differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis to measure thermal properties and water states within biomaterial hydrogel- Utilized CAD (Creo 9.0) and 3D printing to manufacture a device that mimicked the mechanical motions of breathing to access the impact of these movements on mucosal clearance- Interfaced 3D printed device with Nikon Confocal Microscope utilizing a microcontroller- Developed MATLAB scripts to process data from various laboratory instruments as well as to investigate the coordination of cilia within airway epithelium cultures

- Oversee and mentor 22 male first-year students in a college residence hall, organize floor events, resolving disputes, and coordinating with residence life professional staff- Awarded outstanding team member of the year, best building staff of the year, and best hall event of the year
