As the Head of VSAT Platforms I oversees the installation, operation and maintenance of all Liquid’s VSAT hub platforms, key responsibilities are the high efficiency and availability of VSAT services. I’m an expert in all installed VSAT hub systems and provide 2nd and 3rd level support to the SCC and/or escalation to Liquid’s network or regional support teams and suppliers in resolving faults impacting VSAT hub platform infrastructure. Review, plan and implement VSAT platform changes and upgrades. Tasked with maintaining a safe, secure, documented teleport. Collaborating with the Head of Engineering and Operations Manager with the installation, configuration and commissioning of existing and new teleport systems to manufacturers specifications. Conduct site visits to customer premises or remote Liquid locations for fault investigations, training and service demonstrations.

Maintain and monitor service levels provided by regional teleports and space segment providers. Manage Hub and VSAT configuration on each regional network. Establish and perform quality control audits of equipment installations. Provide engineering resolution of service issues escalated from NOC to service management (3rd level support).Train sales force, management, regional field engineers and NOC engineers on principles and technology in the satellite communications field.

Responsible for managing, optimizing and growing the iDirect and Linkstar platforms.Responsible for 3rd level support on remote Vsat sites. Product and Technology knowledge and skills on responsible platforms. Interaction with customers on technical, sales and business aspects. Team and Sales Representatives interaction, support and training on products and portal access.
