    I have followed the professional cycling team of Lotto Soudal for most of this years season as a preparation for the book 'Lotto Soudal - De Winnende Combinatie - Het plan en de ploeg achter de renners' (Lotto Soudal, the winning combination. The plan and the team behind the riders'). The book was published on September 21, 2016, in Dutch. In november the French version will be published. The book tells the story of what happens behind the scenes and who is doing what exactly in a team of 70 people, from managers to coach drivers, from sport directors to mechanics, from doctor to logistic manager. Riders like André Greipel and Tim Wellens explain how important these people and their performances are in order to allow the riders to perform at their best.It's about cycling, of course, but also about the nomad life these teams live, about leadership and team spirit, about performing cleverly with limited means, about the healthy use of medicine, training and food. It's two years of realizing a plan over a six year period.
