I am a transdisciplinary ocean scientist that works at the nexus of social, economic, and environmental systems.In my role as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Miami's Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Science, I serve as the NOAA Gulf of Mexico Lead for the Southeast Fisheries Science Center Offshore Wind Technical Team, coordinate NOAA’s Ecosystem Indicators Working Group, provide technical support for the National Marine Ecosystem Status Website (https://ecowatch.NOAA.gov), and lead the efforts of the WIND-Integrated Ecosystem Assessment Program.I have formal and experiential training in Environmental Science and Policy, Natural Resource Management, Oceanography, Environmental Economics, Geospatial and Spatiotemporal Analysis, Scientific Communication, and more.

    Researching spatiotemporal relationships between dynamic, satellite-derived seascapes and micronekton assemblages in the California Current Large Marine Ecosystem. This exploration of seascape classes and biological associations demonstrate a step towards the application of these novel methods to current marine resource management strategies, such as Ecosystem-Based Management.As part of the NSF National Research Traineeship in Risk and Uncertainty Quantification in Marine Systems, I work with a transdisciplinary team of scientists to classify regions of distinct environmental stress for living marine resources in the Gulf of Alaska, known as "stress-scapes." Our methods reconcile and measure the effects of multiple, compounding stressors and quantify associated model uncertainties. Successfully defended Thesis on October 12, 2020.
