As an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and an avid advocator of mental health, helping others has been my life's mantra. Through outstanding communication and leading by example, my work has enabled me to help those in need find help and an improved quality of life. Over the past couple of years, I have improved the lives of others in the following:-planned, fundraised, renovated, and reconstructed a lounge area at a non-profit family life center-aided in cooking and solely distributed 5000+ meals for Afghan refugees in Oklahoma City-helped contribute and raise funds for the JDRF Foundation through various philanthropy events-researched different types of bacteria in order to identify new species with great potential for development and drug productionI am most excited for all laboratory research and clinical shadowing opportunities, which would help further my knowledge on a biological level and provide valuable experience to achieve my career goals of improving the quality of a person's life and making the world a better place.
