The Professional Practice Researcher Program provides a unique, career-enhancing opportunity to promising new-hire college recruits. During the year long rotation in the Professional Practice Researcher Program time was spent researching issues public filers face with a focus in business combinations and consolidation. Other projects I worked on during the year included various thought leadership projects relating to business combinations and helping plan, produce, and execute the Financial Reporting Update webcast, a webcast broadcast to approximately 10,000 individuals and companies per quarter. The Program enables staff to work with partners, senior managers and managers in the firm’s Professional Practice department in New York, develop their skills in accounting research and improve their oral and written communication abilities.
