While at URS I supported a variety of projects with my GIS capabilities, planning expertise and LEED credentials. Specific projects have included the following:88th Regional Support Command, United States Army Reserve Natural Resource Surveys, Select Sites, 7/2013- Present: Responsible for land use and natural resource mapping of selected US Army Reserve Centers and Local Training Areas in support of natural resource survey reports.International Rail Port Logistics Park, City of West Memphis, Arkansas, 5/2013-Present: Responsible for documentation of socioeconomic and land use technical reports for proposed linear rail infrastructure improvements. Also collected field data for baseline noise monitoring at specific locations near the project location, collected existing and created original GIS data used for analyses and map production.State Route 40 (SR-40) Corridor Management, Polk County, Tennessee Department of Transportation, 6/2013-Present: Responsible for map production and GIS data management of vehicular crashes and rock slide areas along the portion of SR-40 located in Polk County, Tennessee. Amp Bus Rapid Transit, Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority, Nashville, Tennessee, 5/2012–Present: Assisted in the development of documentation in accordance with the NEPA for a proposed Bus Rapid Transit system that will traverse the City of Nashville through the downtown core. Tasks include compiling information related to cultural resources and socioeconomics, assisting with noise studies, mapping, and document preparation.

Lebanon, Tennessee

-Supervised a staff of four including one Planner and three GIS Professionals.-Represented the City of Lebanon as the primary contact to the Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization for regional transportation planning activities.-Attended City Council, Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings.-Reviewed plans submitted to the Lebanon Municipal Regional Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.-Utilized GIS software in the analysis of land use and subdivision proposals.-Presented items for consideration to various commissions at formal public meetings.-Researched and drafted ordinances modifying the City of Lebanon Zoning Ordinance.-Assisted the public with planning related questions and applications.

Reviewed applications and drafts staff reports for subdivisions, site plans and rezonings that are submitted to the Lebanon Regional Municipal Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.Secured over $325,000 in funding for the City of Lebanon Safe Routes to School program. Duties include grant writing, funds administration, and coordinating with Lebanon Special School District staff on program implementation.Utilized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including ArcGIS 9.3.Drafted city ordinances and resolutions related to Planning & Development.

Performed environmental services for various clients including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation work funded through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Drycleaner Remediation Program, and assisted with gathering baseline hydrologic data for a highway construction project proposed in an environmentally sensitive area.

Worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the California Conservation Corps Backcountry Trails program building and repairing recreation trials in Big Basin State Park and Stanislaus National Forest. Work included construction of water bars, retaining walls and other trail structures often without the aid of mechanized tools while living in remote wilderness camps.
