Professional ocean racer with a lifelong ambition to represent Great Britain in the Vendee Globe. A single-handed, non-stop sailing race around the world and the "Everest" of ocean racing. I have developed a wealth of experience in the Ocean Racing scene. At 28-years-old, I am amongst the youngest in the world navigating at a professional level. Most recently, I have been Co-skipper of the IMOCA 60 Team Malizia who sailed the climate activist Greta Thunberg to New York Climate Summit in 2019. Here, I have developed a true understanding of what it takes to create a successful ocean racing campaign. I will be one of the co-skippers of Team Malizia for The Ocean Race, a round the world crewed sailing race starting January 2023.My passion is for the ocean, I like to combine this enduring sport of ocean racing with ocean research, having graduated from the University of Southampton 2015 BSc Oceanography. We can used these IMOCA 60 offshore racing yachts as research vessels that operate on 100% renewable energy. Exploring the possibilities of this research alongside the challenges and performance aspects of ocean racing is what motivates me.
