Operations Manager
Current-Direct and coordinate branch operation activities to obtain optimum efficiency-Direct all safety initiatives for the branch, including running monthly safety meetings and ensuring daily safety checks are performed-Plan, develop, and implement all operational policies for warehousing, transportation, order entry and customer service-Manage recruitment, selection and development of operational personnel-Design, implement and operate an efficient central dispatch system-Monitor operating budget for warehouse and trucking to ensure goals are achieved and are within budget-Coordinate daily with purchasing, sales and fleet maintenance departments to ensure branch is running at optimal efficiency-Inspect and manage physical condition of warehouse, equipment and utilization of building storage amenities-Ensure drivers are properly trained in safety and other areas necessary-Purchase and receive all branch material to maintain proper inventory levels-Maintain direct communication with vendors for missing material, backorders and other issues with all branch purchase orders-Coordinate with the District Manager to establish organizational direction for the company-Ensure safety policies and OSHA regulations are followed in all departments-Ensure that all trucking operations meet D.O.T. guidelines and regulations
