• Farm Owner - Build fence, raise and feed cattle, horses, llamas. Run tractor to cut, rake, bale hay, move hay, and bush hog. Run and operate Heavy Machinery to put in driveways and greenhouse. Apply fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide. Remove fallen trees. Cut, spit stack firewood. Clean and grade gravel driveway to and from the barn. Dig ditches to lay water line to the barn and other storage buildings. Run and install overhead electric cable. Do monthly PM (Preventive Maintenance) on all farm equipment.

• Feeder Operator for Press Department – Run, Operate, maintain, and service a KBA Pleneta 6 color press and KBA Rapida 142 7 color press. Operate a Gerber D170 Plotter and coater, to plot die lines and to cut cotter blankets for press. Operate a pallet jack to transport loads from cutting division to press department. Operate aerator to prepare loads of cardboard for press. Perform preventive maintenance on press to ensure peak press performance. Check accuracy of printing plates. Gather and make coating blankets, printing plates, and ink for upcoming jobs. Hold weekly and monthly meetings to discuss better operating practices with other operators and managers.

• General Maintenance Skilled Craft Worker for the Maintenance Department – Perform interior construction and renovations, including installation and finish of walls, painting and refinishing floors. Repair, and install doors and cabinets. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Read and interpret electrical and plumbing blueprints and technical specifications. Determine tools and resources needed to complete projects in a timely and economical manner. Perform repairs on air handlers, thermostats, and damaged air ducts. Monitor refrigeration, chillers, and boiler units through tracking software. Use power washer, diamond concrete cutters, scissor jacks, and high lifts to clean and maintain hospital exterior; work with Environmental Services Department to repair and clean equipment from flooring, waxing, and buffing machines. Repair or replace lights, light bulbs, ballasts, and receptacles. Troubleshoot telecommunications nurse call systems and skylight television systems control units. Install and repair plumbing fixtures including commodes, sinks, and water and steam piping. Perform outdoor work including, mowing, trimming, and basic upkeep. Tend to plants; maintain flower beds, and outside visitor areas. Operate backhoe, bobcat, and tractors. Perform PM (Preventive Maintenance) on fixed and portable fire suppression systems which include; portable fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems and sprinkler heads. Apply fire caulk and fire spray to meet state and local codes. Adhere to lock-out tag-out safety procedures. Hold additional qualification in the extraction of elevator entrapment victims. Respirator fit tested by in house safety department. Trained on and operate Simplex Fire Alarm System. Assist boiler and chiller operator with general needs during normal running operations and maintenance downtime.

Perform ink, chemical, and paper inventory for press room ensuring enough paper and supplies for shift operations. Load and unload materials from truck and storage racks using a clamp truck, pallet jack, and fork lift (Certified on all). Operate lathe and drill press for press maintenance.• District Manager - Provide field supervision for newspaper carriers, making sure carriers had the supplies and newspapers needed to complete their deliveries. CDL certified with a class B, air brake endorsement Driver License with (medical card). Attended service meetings to ensure customer satisfaction. During my tenure, the district that I managed was the leader in customer satisfaction and growth. • Circulation Operator - Load newspapers for distribution and keep track of proper inventory to be delivered. I loaded and assigned trucks to each driver. I also delivered products using 18 ft, 24 ft and flat bed trucks. I maintained documentation for contractors, carriers, and District Managers. On May 8, 2001 I was selected by my co-workers, as a first quarter outstanding achievement award winner. • Mail Room Employee - assembled newspapers for delivery and loaded trucks.
