Hello!I was a tinkerer from a young age, disassembling and sometimes reassembling toys and any kind of electronic gadget. When I turned twelve my father gave me a soldering iron and a pair of needle-nose pliers, and also introduced me to microcomputers -- my first program was in machine code and rotated the display digits' segments. See my Projects section below for more recent examples.I started reading early and widely, and eventually gained a fair vocabulary along with an appreciation for written styles from florid to precise. Early on, I applied for two jobs at Etec Systems -- the programmer one was taken by the time I got in to interview, but the technical writer position was all mine, and that changed the course of my career.I'd like to work with a company that makes a physical product, preferably one that moves, or some interesting software.
