Mediterranean

During my time on M/Y TATIANA 1, I participated in four consecutive charters with minimal turnaround time. These charters lasted between 5 to 14 days and accommodated 6 to 12 guests, with additional guests throughout the day.Key Responsibilities:Assisted in the daily opening and closing of three decks and the bow.Carried out watchkeeping duties (port, anchor, and navigation) on a rotating schedule with another deckhand.Conducted navigational watchkeeping during both day and night, identifying potential collisions, plotting the ship's position on charts, updating the ship's log, and adjusting the vessel's heading under the supervision of the 1st mate or captain.Helped launch and recover a 5.5m tender, two jet skis, and two seabobs, along with various towable toys each charter day.Performed rope work, including securing fenders, tender towing, managing flags and signals, and maintaining ropes.Completed general anchor and mooring duties at both the forward and aft of the yacht.Experienced in operating the 5.5m tender and jet skis, handling docking in various weather conditions, assisting with guest transfers to and from shore (including sandy and rocky beaches), and supporting watersport activities like wakeboarding, tubing, and banana boating.Collected supplies and provisions via tender as directed by the captain, which included managing laundry, waste disposal, and refueling the tender and jerry cans.Maintained the yacht’s appearance by detailing stainless steel fixtures (polishing and waxing) and applying treatments to the teak deck.On our fourth and final charter, I was responsible for setting up a 6m slide and mentoring a new deckhand. I guided them through the standard operating procedures and essential areas of deckhand responsibilities, including equipment storage and cleaning.

Performed Actual Quality Limit (AQL) tests and investigations to set parameters and compiled reports which demonstrated their findings.• Worked with Research Development and New Product Development teams, writing up precise Quality Attribute Sheets for Protein Bars, including the organoleptic and finished packaging specifications.• Problem solving in the New Product Development lab. Working to tight deadlines to find solutions for problematic VMS products which had to be taken off-line. Working methodically through a range of different solutions and teams until the correct fix was identified.• Collaborated with the commissioning team to help with the installation of a new protein dough mixing department within the factory. Worked within the department as part of a team to help develop processes and improve output.

I specialised as a Ceremonial weapons Specialist - through this, I lead and commanded Ceremonial Guards and parades at events such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, Annual Unit Inspections and Annual Continuous Training formalities. I also held the position of Deputy Chairman of the senior cadet forum for the Moreton flotilla (consisting of 500+ Cadets) as a Leading Seaman. This role involved liaising with Commanding Officers, Staff, Both Senior and Junior cadets across the flotilla aiming to implement improved and consistent training, activities, attendance, learning and development and recruiting through the business plan. This role also involved the planning and implementation of large activities consisting of 500+ active persons.
