William Babler- Work Team Leader & Developer of People I work best with conscientious workers who care deeply about their work. They are team-players who look for ways to help others and they are willing to share their knowledge with others. I am both a coach and a mentor to my employees. In addition to top-notch leadership training from The United States Army, I bring decades of real-business experience and empathy to the work place. I know what it is like to transition from an individual contributor into the thrusts of management and become an impactful leader. I have done it myself in the military and some of western Michigan’s leading companies: Challenge Machine and Shape Corporation. I am passionate about helping others who may not fully grasp their full potential to add value to a business process. They may be lacking vision, or they may not have confidence in their own abilities. They are willing to work but do not understand their roles or they may not be in a spot that allows them to best utilize their strengths. I lead my employees by assessing the breadth and depth of their skillset and then help them find their best role in the workplace. In the words of Jim Collins “The Right Seat on The Bus” where abilities match the need. My responsibility is to then provide the tools and education to enable them to do their work. My job is to support them in achieving their potential in the work place by providing honest feedback, encouragement and corrective guidance and genuine empathy during their challenges. Those I work with have experienced significant improvement in their self-confidence, better decision-making, self-directed work and they develop into employees who can manage themselves and ultimately lead others.
